Light, darkness and dust
Finally the lights are back on in the church. Not all of them, but the ones in the office. For the past few weeks we’ve been relient on uplighters, desk lamps and natural light. I’ve realised that I’m quite sensitive and need well lit areas. I find darkness and gloominess well gloomy. Maybe I just don’t do ‘atmospheric’ lighting - well not certainly not in an office environment. One of the effects of lack of lighting has been to move my desk over to the window. Amazingly sometimes it gets too bright and when the sunlight comes through you can see all the specks of dust over my laptop screen. I have to keep wiping it. I don’t really need to do anything for it to get dirty - it just does. And wiping the screen last week doesn’t really do much now. I need to keep on cleaning it, otherwise the dust’ll build up and then I won’t be able to see anything! Hmm sounds like an illustration for something…
